The E brake freezes everytime it gets below freezing. This is the most annoying thing and I will never buy a Mustang again. Why is there not a recall for this, there have been multiple complaints.

I drive a 2007 Mustang, manual transmission. In 2008, the emergency brake seemed to not be releasing all the way. I could tell this because a) my vehicle would slow down more quickly than before, B) on a slight grade, my vehicle would remain in place. This issue occured after normal use of E-brake not but 10 months after the brand new purchase from darcars in lanham, md. I took the vehicle in to lindsey Ford in wheaton, md (around the same time the air bag module recall was issued...) and the representative told me that they "could not verify my concerns at this time". having replaced the air bag module free of charge, I was idiotically appeased with just that and didn't press the E-brake issue futher. Coincidentally, as I was leaving their lot, I went over a speed bump which seemed to release the brake enough to not cause any noticable brake tension while driving. Needless to say, from that point on I was reluctant to use the emergency parking brake and alway kept my vehicle in gear when parked. Just recently, I had another issue with the clutch pedal-- gradually sinking to the floor (which I was told was an issue with the clutch slave), and again I went to lindsey to see if they could help. This time around, they notice that the E-brake is very much stuck, and suggested I replace the brake cable. $500 I do not have. They wont even bother to look at the clutch slave until the brake cables have been replaced.

Brake pedal was depressed and went to the floor. Had the Mustang towed to local dealer. They could not find anything wrong with the brakes over a three day period. Oct 1st another brake failure with pedal going all the way to floor. Drove slowly to dealer. Service writer pressed brake and it went to floor. He related this is a recurring problem with 04 and 07 Mustangs. Its in the shop for master cylinder replacement. Needs a safety bulletin on this from Ford.

TL- the contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact was driving approximately 3 mph in a drive thru lane. The brake pedal traveled to the floor without resistance when pressure was applied. The driver pumped the brakes numerous times. The gear selector was placed into "neutral"; then shifted into the "park" position. Immediately, the vehicle came to a complete stop. The vehicle resumed with the loss of brake power. The emergency brake was engaged while pumping the brake pedal, followed by a power response. The vehicle was able to continue in normal operation to the residence. The vehicle has not been driven due to the potential safety hazard. The authorized dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle has not bee repaired for the malfunction. The failure mileage was 15,300. The VIN was unavailable

I have a 2007 Ford Mustang. At 25,000 miles the rear passenger side tire the brakes are scratching up the rotor. I have read many cases with the same problem with other Ford vehicles. This is definitely a defect.
