My battery goes dead because of radio. It is unreal with as many problems that ford has had with Shacker 500 radios in the Ford Mustang that they don't own up to the problem and make it to their Customers. It is not right for owners to have to pay out of their own pocket when this is a on going problem.
The new Camero is looking preety good about this time.

I had to call CAA to have car boosted three mornings as my battery was dead. My wife told me my radio was playing and the car was locked in the drive. Then I notice the clock light was on after I turned off key and stayed on after I locked car. This was draining the battery.
I went to my mechanic and he said the Engine fuse box(SJB) was corroded and it should be replaced. He phoned Ford to order the part and apparently it is on Back Order until November 2015. This my means of transportation! I can't be boosting it everyday. I could not believe that FordUSA and Canada can not find a part in all of their dealer networks in North America. I emailed the CEOs of FordUSA mfields@ford.com. I could not fathom how their procurement department could drop the ball on this.
Why would they wait so long to order without ensuring a back up supply. That is ridiculous to think that someone should expect to wait 60-90 days to get such an integral part that runs all the electrical functions of the car including some safety issues as well. I received a reply Karen James - a liaison officer. She passed the problem on to a Canadian agent. Such a disappointment. I thought the least she could do is to get to the bottom of this ridiculous problem.
So, I spent hours sourcing a used part from a stateside auto wrecker. I now have the replacement part I need- if it works! Today my clock light went out when I shut of the car and exited! Yahoo! I will buy some more time as I would rather not gamble on installing the used part to find it has more problems then my part. Only 60-90 days to get through the to get the part for my otherwise perfectly maintained car that I love!
The paint another complaint that I will address later.
It's awful to think that Ford does not care. One unhappy customer tells 20 others. One happy customer tells one! Also this has been an ongoing problem for many years if you check the blogs!!
FORD AND EMPLOYEES ARE GREAT- management Sucks and hide behind closed doors and don't own up to there mistakes. There should be recalls on the SJB's and the paint peeling.
