Mustang V6

I had a 2007 Mustang with same exact issue. I thought well maybe it's because I'm a heavy set dude. But happened on 2010 new one I traded that one in for, same V6. Happened about 2 months after purchase and happens about once a week since. The repairman at Johnson Bros. Ford where I bought it said "Yeah that happens a lot, only way I've ever seen it fixed permanently is to drill a hole in the end and screw a self-tapping screw into it to secure it. REALLY!?!?!? Wow, that's a good warranty fix. I remember thinking Did he really just suggest I drill out the end of the seat handles of my 25,000 mile old new Mustang and tap a screw to hold on the handles? Yup, he did. I had purchased the uber expensive warranty from this dealership and he didn't even hint at maybe it could be replaced or fixed there. I had bigger problems with the car at the time and dropped it, still have the bigger problems and they've gotten bad. But another post. Look under 2010 Mustang tires or steering.
