I babied this Mustang for 5 years and both interior door panels peeled 3/4 of the way off this week. My interior is not leather but it has a vinyl insert in the door panel and the foam is just crumbling on the back like the old cheap headliners did in the 80's. I don't know of a fix as other owners say the foam will not stick to the door panel if you re-glue it. It's probably out of warranty being over 36 months old but still has the extended warranty which Ford probably won't cover interior defects. I am a 35 year Mustang owner from 65's up to this 2012. I also own a 69 Boss 302, 1972 fastback, and a 2001 Bullitt and none of them have exhibited such poor quality from Ford. Guess I have to question buying a new Ford in the future. I'm still going to complain to LONE STAR FORD in Houston, Texas!

On both door the leather is peeling. This looks awful. According to several mustang forums this is common. Tried glue but it doesn't last. This is ridiculous!

It is unbelievable how a nice car with a PREMIUM package does this at such low mileage! When I contacted the dealer they claim that since I bought it in september 2011 there's no warranty left for that part.

The car had been kept in the garage but when I started keeping it outside, that is when the vinyl peeled off during the heat within weeks. A quick search reveals this problem is widespread and ongoing for many years.
