Transmission did not shift. Transported car from side of the road.

The car smelled to burnt wiring. Then a couple days later the automatic transmission was not shifting, I had to manually shift to get it past 1st gear to get it to shop.

This happened less than 48 hours after I drove my brand new 2012 off the lot at the Grapevine Ford dealership. They could not duplicate the issue, and I complained almost every day for several weeks. I finally contacted corporate and they looked the car over again. I complained that I should have a loner to drive, and that was like pulling teeth. They finally agreed, but we will NEVER buy another Ford, as much as we love Mustangs.
They did replace the sensor I read about online, and it fixed the problem. I will ask my husband the name of the sensor and update the info here later. I was finally told it was a known issue, and it did recur, a few months later. We have had NOTHING but issues with this automobile, and I hate paying a $800 monthly car payment for a car that is unreliable, unsafe, and falling apart. A Jaguar would give me less issues and would be worth the extra money. I am sorry about the lady whose nephew died from this issue, and I believe she needs to seek legal assistance, as I plan to take that route after the first of the year. I plan to list every issue we have had.
In fairness to Ford, I did make a complaint on Twitter, and corporate Ford contacted offering assistance, but the dealership was not as helpful as the people at Ford's corporate offices.

The output speed sensory needs to be replaced. Gave code P0722. There is a current recall but my vehicle doesn't fall under it.
