The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. After washing and drying the vehicle, the contact opened the driver side door when suddenly the exterior driver's side rearview mirror cover detached with a loud bang. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact sent photos of the damage to the manufacturer. The dealer stated that the manufacturer denied responsibility. The contact filed a case with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 2,300.
