Mustang GT 65.0

  • Manual transmission
  • 750 miles

I bought a 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium w/Performance package and the brakes on this thing are driving me crazy! I took it to the dealership when it had about 750 miles and they told me that they squealed because they were new and to just drive it some more. About 6,000 miles later the noise is still there! I went to the dealership again and the only fix they can come up with is grinding my rotors down to see if it fixes the issue. Really, grinding the rotors on my NEW car, WTF! You pay good money for a premium Mustang with performance package and this is what I get.

Mustang GT V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

We ordered our 2015 Ford Mustang GT in May of 2014. Ford dropped the ball, lost the vehicle, made excuse after excuse on the status of our vehicle. It was very disappointing to order something with an expectation of having one of the first ones, only to be given the run around and seeing the same vehicle for sale on the lot. Once we took delivery 500 miles into our purchase the brakes started squealing so loud it makes us and anyone checking out the car wince. We took our new purchase back to the dealer who stated they have to "shave" down the rotors. Awesome, a brand new car with shaved rotors. We picked up the car and the following day back to the same piercing squeal of the breaks. We contacted the dealer again who states Ford is aware of the issue and the "engineers a trying to come up with a fix. " We gave it another week and contacted For corporate, Joshua Gee case #6077016 to see how long we would be embarrassed to drive our new car. What a waste of time, Joshua stated the engineering department had in fact come up with a fix but he didn't know what that fix was or when we could expect our dealer to have the parts to fix our "issue". Ford will not take the vehicle back and we are forced to keep a vehicle we are embarrassed to drive!!! Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy a FORD!!!

Mustang Premium 2.7L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 600 miles

I paid north of $35000 for the car. Not to mention the increased insurance and high California registration. It's a new car and the brakes squeal like a 1930's locomotive. It's ridiculous!! The dealer is telling me it's because the rotors are wet or have gotten fluid on them like Armor All or something. That's bull#hit. I had never washed or put anything on the car before it began squealing.

Anyway, that should not cause a continuous squeal at low pressure braking. The dealer just cleaned up the brakes and scuffed the rotors. The squealing stopped for 1 week then started again with low pressure braking. It's not only annoying but in my opinion decreases the value of the car. I believe it has something to do with the material in the rotors or brake pads. I am pissed off with the quality of the brakes.

Mustang Ecoboost 2.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,095 miles

I have less than 2000 miles on my car and the brakes squeal extremely loud. Slow driving and light brake pressure will cause the squeal every time. It is so annoying and embarrassing.
