The contact owned a 2017 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while her fianc was driving at 30 mph, the vehicle hydroplaned and crashed into a ditch. The contact stated that the passenger's side door hinge fractured, allowing the door to open violently. The contact stated that she was nearly thrown out from the vehicle. The contact sustained minor injuries and medical attention was sought however, due to her pregnancy the doctors chose not to do X-rays. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000. The vehicle was destroyed.
