Ranger Splash 4.0L V6

Has happened many times, usually when fuel level is 1/4 - 1/2 full. By shutting off engine then restarting it sometimes runs ok, but to do so in traffic!!!!!!!!! This is a fuel injected engine (no carb). What is causing this & How to fit it?
