The consumer discovered a gas leak about three months ago. Since he is a certified mechanic, he examined his vehicle and found that fuel was leaking from the filler hose. The filler hose was soft and deteriorating and the gas was leaking from the cracks in the hose. The cracks have become larger and now more gas is leaking. The consumer is afraid to drive the vehicle because of the fire hazard. The consumer contacted the manufacturer who stated the there was nothing that could be done because there was no recall on the filler hose.
