1998 Ford Ranger XLT. Good looking truck and to be expected things wear out and need to be replaced.
The truck only has 145k miles (1987 Toyota has no problems at 450k) replaced due to failure, alternator, radiator, IAC valve, ball joints, water pump, leaking metal cooling parts, ignition pack, timing sensor, distributor thingy, pilot bearing, clutch, clutch master and slave cylinders, rear end bearings and bearing carrier, list goes on. (standard parts replaced during normal use,pcv valve, spark plugs, belts, hoses etc not included in the above ) 4X4 quit ( idiot vacuum line activator ) seats fell apart, dash light replacement is a MAJOR deal, plastic dash trim crumbling,
I thought a Dodge Caravan was the worst car I ever had, but Ford wins the prize as far as constant breaking down and ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO REPAIR. (simple plumbing fixture a threaded pipe, took most of the day and I had to remove the front of the engine (i.e. radiator A/C pump, alternator power steering and a mess of other stuff)
Can't afford to get something else just yet. I'll never buy another Ford.
