I had a complete brake job (front and rear) done on my 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 when it had about 70000 miles on it. The problem was the rear brakes were grabbing and locking up when they were wet. Things were OK for a few weeks until I drove in the rain and the same thing happened. I took it back to Meineke and told them that the rear brakes have the same problem. They checked and adjusted the rear brakes again, said everything is OK. A few weeks later same problem. Back to Meineke. They said I must be parking in a pot hole full of water. Truck is always parked in a heated garage. Could not get Meineke to fix the problem. Can anybody help me with this problem?

the brakes would lock up or grab hard even though the braking system was antilocking. The initial problem, a year after the purchase, was resolved. It was a significant danger as the brakes would lockup. The speed sensor in the wheel was replaced.
8 years later, the brakes don't behave as badly, but after a rain, the brakes WILL lock up. THAT IS A HAZARD. After a rain, or feeling the brakes grab, I must stop and pump the brakes several times and it usually resolves it.
