Ranger XLT 2.5L I4

  • Manual transmission
  • 162,000 miles

Excessive metal shows up on differential fill plug every 300 to 500 miles, and is starting to make noise while going up hills. The pinion bearing seal failed after a fluid change, and before the change, bits of bearing material was seen inside the differential and fluid.
