Both the back seat small doors were locked and unoperable since 2015 (the dealer refused to repair without paying for service- they said will cost $1,000 for each door and just to exam cost. That was not the repair cost yet) 2020 in August, perhaps, the back gate door for the trunk suddenly collapsed, felled out from the roller. That was the passenger side of the back gate to the bed of the truck I had to put back to the roller. And, it is not sure that the gate is stable condition. Under the dashboard, the cigarette lighter just touched and collapsed-broken inside under the dashboard and could not pull it out. So, it is still inside under the dashboard (notice: That feature-the cigarette lighter nobody used since bought the vehicle- non smoker owner). The under body vehicle cost a lot to repair through the years. The vehicle has about 120,000 miles currently.

I recently replaced rotted parts of the underside of my Ford range, spring shackles, schocks and schock mount brackets. I did this repair to make mu truck safer, after 3 weeks of driving with the new repairs the frame began to crack and is about to split in half... not so safe. The body is in great shape, but I can't drive the truck with the frame in its current condition. Back road driving 3 days a week.

I was filling air in the driver rear tire and I saw rot and bad rust on the frame before and after the spring shackle a crack from bottom of the frame to the top on both sides the frame is super thin and is now not drivable bc it's very dangerous to be driven if it ever broke someone or multiple people could get injured or even killed looks like it's been cracked for a long time I've owned it 9 months it was bought from a local dealer.

During routine maintenance found a 6 to 8 inch hole rusted through the frame just behind the right front tire and front suspension attachment location. No repair has been made, but frame looks to be weakened at this point.. photos available. Other issues due to rust: Spring 2013: Replaced engine oil pan - leaking oil due to rust holes. Winter 2013: Body repair - major rust and right side accident damage - much more rust coming on truck. Autumn 2013: Replaced 5 feet rusted brake line to rear brakes - leaking brake fluid, no brakes. Summer 2012: Steel wheels were replaced due to rusted bead area causing weakness and air leakage. Spare tire mount found inoperable due to rusted support.

This truck frame is rusting out so bad that the rear bumper where it is attached to the frame just broke off on 3/20/13. I also have a Ford escape 2001 with 160000 miles and very little rust. This truck has also been garaged and kept clean and washed above and below.

Rear frame rusted and cracked on both sides and the spare tire holder is rusted and ready to fall off. The truck is unsafe to drive. This should not happen to an 11 year old truck. Just as Toyota did, Ford should stand behind their frames.

About 6 years ago the frame began to rust. The vehicle is now a borderline junker. The frame has rotted through and the cross members have become detached from the frame. Looking at the vehicle you would never expect it to be ready to split in half. Is Ford liable in any manner for the fatigued and rotted frame and connecting components?

Transmission went out at 70749 miles. Purchased 04/11/2003. On 09/15/2003 noticed transmission slipping, made appt for 09/18 with dealership where I purchased it used. Transmission went out on a busy intersection and had to be pushed to the side by police and towed to dealership to make my appt. Cost $3113 to replace - dealer basically "to bad for you". also - ac condenser needs replacing at a cost of $570 cannot afford to do condenser yet.... this has been a very expensive vehicle so far, we've owned it less than 6 months!

This is a red carpet contract. Bought the pickup in Oct.99. Started having trouble with the clutch in Jan.2000, sent it in to check the clutch and they said nothing wrong. Sent I back because engine light stayed on and the problem with clutch was still there. They changed a sensor and again said nothing wrong with clutch. I didn't get it out of the lot before the clutch went completely out. This time they replaced the clutch.they said it was a manufactor default in Nov.2000 was hit broadsided on passenger side, behide door, and the whole backend was replaced. Put 2 new tiares on back and extensive work done on backend. Assumed tires were balanced and front and back aligned. I had it back again July 22,2001. The clutch is acting up again, the steering is all wrong and it keeps dying on me. The back of the truck feels like it is trying to pass the front end. The front end shakes relly bad at 60mph, and when I try to speed up the motor bogs down. I took it back for all this and once again nothing is wrong except my inagination, and the wheels need to be balanced and the faront end needs re-alignment. I was told that the reason it wouldn't speed up when given gas was because of the carpet under the gas peddal, so they removed it. The clutch is still not engaging correctly and they still say there is nothing wrong with it. My warrantuy is out at 36000 miles and I want this truck fixed now not next year. Because I am a woman they think that I am stupid but I have news for them. There is something wrong with the truck and if I'd have known that this would be happening I would never have accepted the truck after the accident. The assured me that everything was like brandnew, but they lied and now they won't correct anything. I do hope that you will check into this, as I have 2 small children who travel in this truck and if anything happens to them because of these problems, I will have no other option that to hire an attorney and go to court.

At 30 mph vehicle began to shake and check engine light came on. We stopped and call for a tow truck. When we looked under the truck we saw gasoline pouring from the area around the gas tank and onto the exhaust system.
