Ranger XLT 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 145,554 miles

There was no warning. The transmission ran fine the one day and died the next. The RPM meter skyrocketed leaving me stranded. At 145000 miles I had to have a complete rebuilt transmission replacement. This cost me over $3000. Now at 205000 miles the transmission is starting to slip again.
