problem #2

Ranger F X 4 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 175,000 miles

The rear wheels kept turning after I came to a stop causing the vehicle to lurch forward. Lucky no cars were in front of me or I would of rear ended them. Held the brake down in an attempt to keep the vehicle stopped but it kept lurching. Finally turned the vehicle off and restarted it and problem went away. Only had this vehicle for about 6 weeks and it has happened twice. Vehicle did sit for sale for 6 or seven months and a small amount of rust built up on rotors but that should not of caused this problem. I will look into it to see if the idle is set too high and report if I have future problems.

Ranger Edge 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,000 miles

BOUGHT THE TRUCK ON NOV 18 2006. HAD 34,000 MILES WHEN PURCHASED. PREVIOUS OWNER BABIES CARS. MY REAR BRAKES WILL NOT STAY ADJUSTED FOR MORE THAT ABOUT A WEEK. THIS CAUSES FRONT BRAKES TO WEAR OUT ABOUT EVERY 15-20K MI. (ABOUT EVERY 9-10 MONTHS.) (I DRIVE ALOT) THE THING THAT GETS ME IS THAT THE REAR BRAKES DON'T STAY TIGHT AT ALL LIKE THEY SHOULD, BUT ABOUT EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR IS HUMID OUTSIDE, THE REAR BRAKES ARE SOO SENSITIVE THAT THEY WILL LOCK UP IMMEDIATELY. THIS HAPPENS VERY FREQUENTLY. WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN?
