Truck had 52000 miles when i got it, I changed all fluids ,motor, trans, power steering, radiator. About20,000 later shifting from rev to drive started to have a slow engagement of drive gear. Took truck to my friends garage to have trans filter n fluid flushed clean.Still the same. Added a can of shift additive. Still not better though I hope might be a stuck valve or soft seal somewhere. Still runs good thru all gears.

Equipped With Auto Transmission: When at a Stop Sign, with the brake applied the engine idling in drive the engine revved up suddenly as if in 1st and floored. When it happened, I pushed on the brake as hard as I could with the rear wheels laying rubber. My only other reflex was to turn the key off! This has happened once before approximately 9-10 months ago, I used the key then to. Being retired I thought the problem was caused from lack of driving the truck and didn't look for an answer! Years ago we used to call this a down-shifting problem, I don't remember the remedy then, but would really appreciate a solution now. I have NO choice but to park it until I know of a fix for it. My wife was with me at the time and it scared her enough to be upset for days! Someone could have been hurt or killed if I had lost control by not turning the engine off or if I didn't have good brakes allowing me the time to control it until remembering to use the key! This is my only form of transportation and carrier for yard equipment and/or supplies, so any information as soon as possible or available would be greatly appreciated, Many Thanks in advance.
