Takata recall. After receiving a recall notice from Ford Motor Co., I have contacted the Ford dealership where we purchased the vehicle in question (shamaley Ford el paso, tx). Apart from the fact that the customer service experience at shamaley Ford is feckless and very unpleasant, they have yet to provide a clear and concise explanation or timeline regarding the repair / replacement of the airbags present in our vehicle. It has been over a year, and no information regarding the recall has been provided by either Ford Motor Co. Or shamaley Ford.

The vehicle was in motion, I was driving along the highway when I heard a loud ticking noise coming from behind the glove box. I do not know if the ticking noise has anything to do with the air bags but the ticking noise is defintely coming from the passenger air bag location. I have not had a repair technician diagnose the trouble because I don't want to pay for repairs if it is an air bag issue.
