Takata recall - I received a recall notice in July, 2016 and have yet to get my airbag replaced. On October 26, 2017 (over a year later) I phoned our local Ford dealership here in columbus, ga (rivertown Ford @ 706-653-7420) and was informed that they do not know when the parts will be available. I was given the number for Ford customer relations center (800-392-3673) whereupon I phoned and was told the same thing. My husband drives a Toyota corolla with the same recall notice. He is getting his repaired on 10/28/17 through rivertown Toyota, columbus, ga. I do not understand why Ford is not expediting this repair since it is a major concern regarding life or death with the airbag possibly rupturing in the event of a crash. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Takata recall. I received a safety recall notice 16S26/NHTSA recall 16V-384 from the Ford Motor Co.in July 2016 that their was a recall on the passenger frontal air bag inflator and it may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. In the recall notice it said that the parts were not available at this time and when they were available they would notify me via mail. I have been to the dealership where I bought the vehicle many times and have been told they do not have the parts and that Ford will notify me when the parts would be available. I contacted Ford Motor Co, customers service department by phone and was told the same thing, when the parts are available they will notify me. It is now October 2017 and still have not been notified. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Takata recall. Notification of July 2016 stated my vehicle was under the safety recall notice 16S26 / NHTSA recall 16V-384. Since then, there has been no activity or correspondence. Have placed numerous calls to the dealership who informed me they have no replacements. Now I am notified of the takata bankruptcy proceedings with implications I may lose any legal recourses if the repair is not made. Why has no further activity been pursued to satisfy my recall" how do I protect myself and family from pending disaster"

Takata recall it's been 17 months since I received a recall notice from Ford Motor Company telling me the need to get new airbags. The airbags haven't deployed, but I drive this car daily and am concerned for my safety. Last week my local Ford dealer said, it could be 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years before we get replacement airbags." They weren't very helpful. That's simply not acceptable... it's been 17 months already!! is there an alternative way to get replacement airbags??
