My wife was driving into fairbanks when the fuel tank exploded. The damage was extensive enough to cause the frame to be replaced. Ford will not tell us what happened or if it will happen again. We are afraid to drive the vehicle.

The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 900.
