no temperature control, temp. just continue to go down I have only one question to FORD: Why build a FORD XLT RANGER 2016 with a TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB, that DOES NOT WORK? I am very much offended on the situation, that I bought such a car, invested on it. I recall on the 2nd day, I nearly had an accident on this malfunction which led to excessive fogging on all THE CARS windshield and side glass door and rear windows, luckily I had no tints, due to other pending repairs on my weather trims. Ford service in my locality, just shuts me down. I certainly hope that the rest of the automakers do still make this kind of AC control - practically no control. We had a paralleled testing on exactly same unit (my request to them to establish a baseline for the AC problem), and the NEW parallel unit performs in the same manner no control for Temp, and then they shut me down. They try to shut me down, by saying that more or less that is the equipment I bought. Ive sent more than four emails to contest this malfunction to FORD SERVICE even sharing them links explaining how CAR AC works, and until this very day, instead of giving me a clue, they simply cannot or dont want to answer. This problem started on day one, and its been going on till to date. We cannot ADJUST the temp setting, the temperature just continues to go down, COMPLETELY USELESS. I am certainly losing fuel economy AND have safety issues, this is not what FORD advertises. Too bad for it means something else! This question bears my total disgust. I know that my local laws somehow are more into the automakers side- imagine we still have to wait for 4repairs before we can actually get an arbitration of our complain. Until todate I am still hoping to get a consensus from some experts thinkering on this complain and probably may find my resolve. I am open to compromise, but not on this. WHAT IF you drive suddenly into a high humidity ambient, at a speed, then suddenly you lose sight of whats ahead? I had a 1994 honda civic, the AC works normally, and when I did have AC issues, they are within the normal repair issues. I shouldnt have traded it with this FORD Ranger. I had been instrumental in localizing the issue at hand, during FORD service past 3 repair attempts, they just dont like to feedback on the next level for I was asking them to check which part in the AC control system is controlling the compressor, or we simply ask what parameter does this system use to control the compressor, is it pressure or temperature? I know that the control parameter is temperature, it was the parameter for the old system and it is still in the new system, and in almost all AC system, CAR, home, ETC. SO BACK TO that TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB? Why have it on the dashboard, that IT IS USELESS? I know that this is an imperfect world, but lets just accept our mistakes - it could be factory defect - it could be a PCM for a Wildtrak is fitted into this unit, or it had been a design fault or whatever, then we move on, else rectify within the norms of STANDARD USE. The headache and the trauma that I have on owning a new car now lies on how FORD address this issue.
