Ranger XLT 4WD 2.3L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 243 miles

Test drove truck. No issue. It had 140 miles on it. I traded my old truck and signed papers for the new truck. I went to leave and it would not start. The check engine light was on. The service department looked at the truck for two hours. Said they really couldn't find anything wrong. Said they reprogrammed a PCM. I drove it 100 miles and the check engine light is back on again. I'm sure it's not a big deal as it only has 243 miles on it and under warranty. Just annoying. I'm planning trip towing RV the end of next month and I'm slowly losing confidence in truck.

Update from Jun 21, 2019: 2nd check engine light turned out to be a simple oxygen sensor covered under warranty

I know that you guys require the number of times of the occurrence and report them individually for your records. But this happened 5 times in just a few days old truck.
