Ranger XLT 2.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,039 miles

This brand new Ranger is less than a year old with less than 10,000 miles on it. The brakes are squeaking already and it is very annoying. However, I've owned my Honda suv for 7yrs and I never had any brake problems until last year, being 6 years old, when I finally changed my brake pads and got the rotors sanded down. Just like brand new now.

According to Ford, my bumper to bumper warranty for the Ranger does not cover my Ranger's squeaking brakes. They estimated cost to replace both rear rotors and brake pads at $716.80. At first, I agreed to get it repaired. But, when I found out the cost of it, I cancelled the repair. Plus, they didn't even have the parts in stock. It is very deceiving and frustrating to find out that Ford's bumper to bumper warranty does NOT cover the repair.
