Taurus G 3.0L V6

bought the car three days ago and it ran and drove like brand new, went to start it last night and the power went on but when i went to start it everything in the car died. and when i went to retry it had no sighn of even haveing any battery. i got my volt meter out and the battery was fine, but everytime i went to start one of the relays under the dash was clicking(battery saver relay). i replaced the relay this morning and the car runs and drives like new once again

Just bought new battery b/c Garage had told me that was the problem. Very next day- radio didn't work, speedometer didn't work, windshield wipers slow, power windows slow, dim lights. On my way home from work- entire car died and battery light on. Could it be alternator??
