I was at a stop sign, I stepped on the gas and the engine revved without moving. would not move in any gear, I had to put in neutral and push out of the way... no sign of transmission causing problem before... on minute your stopped the next your in the hole 1,000.00-1,500.00-- the sad part is the mileage is only at 73,000.00, i have taken real good care of the car, but that does not seem to matter with this car, seems to be a track record with the Taurus.

It is ridiculous that so many people are having the exact same problem with this American car and Ford won't acknowledge this issue with their customers. Also if they do they want to charge you an arm and a leg because they claim you need a new tranny, when most likely it is the torque. They need to really address this issue and call it defective or recall it. I will never buy a Ford again, nor will I encourage anyone to buy one. Something told me not to get a Ford. My Taurus just reached 84,000 miles no car should go through this at that many miles if they do the car is a piece of sh*t. Like the Ford Taurus. Thanks to Ford I'm a pedestrian. I will not make the same mistake twice no more Fords.
