Left rear fender around wheel well...had to have it worked over by MAACO after several DIY tries to remove RUST and re-paint....6 months later it started to rust again...MAACO re-did the work...year later same RUST, SAME PLACE...had MAACO do it again @ $350.00...9/15/2014 paint started to peal and rusted again...I have noticed several same make and model FORDS loaded with RUST in same place???....MAACO says needs re-work again and this time I will pay again...What in hell is the problem with this model car???

This car has an incredible amount of under-body rust. Every year for the last 8 years I have had to spray rust preventative on every where I could get to. Recently BOTH rear rocker panels rotted off. The plastic trim hid the rust and I couldn't get to it to treat it. This is unacceptable. I have never owned a car that, despite taking as much care as possible to prevent rust, has rotted so badly. The rest of the car is pretty much rot free. Unfortunately, I have to watch the under carriage rot away,

Ok people , this is HUGE! Ford apparently does not want to stand behind its corrosion warranty on new vehicles. Rust developed in the (dog leg) section of the left quarter panel. This is the section below the left rear door, essentially the wheel well area.Rust perforated the metal panel dictating a covered situation under the new car warranty. Any corrosion within 5 yrs. or unlimited mileage will be repaired by Ford if the corrosion perforates the body panel. Ford said they WOULD NOT replace the quarter panel , only patch the area affected. Anyone in the autobody repair business knows that this is just a short term fix! How short a time period? How about 3-7 mos! Rust came back and was repaired a second time only to have the same problem re-occur! Am fighting with Ford again to remedy this correctly. Not very optimistic!
