Taurus LE 3.2L V6

The fan motor quit working. I had it replaced, but the replacement fan made a very annoying, high pitched sound. After a few weeks, I took the car back to the shop and they replaced the fan motor again. The same high pitched sound was still there. I took it back again after a few more weeks, and they replaced it the third time. The same high pitched sound was still there. The mechanic said he tried everything he could think of to resolve the problem, but to no avail. The high pitched sound is still there. It makes no difference if the A/C is on or off. The sound becomes louder if the fan speed is turned up. The sound was not there with the original fan that had stopped working.
