Taurus SES V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

Ford NEEDS to recall this crappy part that is flooding out my car!! I have researched this & its happens to many Taurus/ sable, owners. Mine is in the shop as I type. I don't think my warranty ( extended) is going to cover this project, others have quoted a 250.00 price tag on getting this fixed. I just PRAY the water didn't mess up anything other than my carpet & pocketbook!

Taurus

  • 32,500 miles

The car is only 32500 mile the 3 yr warranty expired 2 months ago. The weathersttrip in the dashboard failed resultting in rain water seeping into the blower motor. The blower motor & some resistors blew. Heating system totally failed in freezing weather. Water also leaked into the floor of the passender side seat ( I could see at least a gallon of rain water on the floor).

The ford dealership was nice enough to get ford to pay 70% of the costs but I still had to pay $212. The problem should not have happened in the first place in a car barely 3 yrs (32000 miles). Just shows poor buiild quality from ford. No wonder they just give a 3 yr/35,000 miles warranty.

I would never buy or recommend a ford again.
