Taurus WE 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Passenger side floorboard soaked. Can see water dripping from the heater blower weep hole soaking the carpet. I've read that its got to be the cowl by the cabin filter, and they have a revised cowl and cowl seal that will fix it. Why should I have to pay to fix a Ford flaw??!! My trunk also leaks when it rains, really convenient when storing valuables and they get wet. Of course it smells at times amd will mold if I don't dry it out. I'll have premature rust in both areas and the hvac components are corroding as well. 135k miles still original trans...have I just been lucky so far? I've owned a lot of Fords, this could be the last one!!

Taurus SEL 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

First noticed on a very rainy day. Pass. side floorboard soaked. Can see water dripping from a blower weap hole and on padding behind carpet. (Did Ford put a weap hole there anticipating a leak???) The dealership is telling me that its got to be the cowl by the cabin filter, and they have a revised cowl and cowl seal that will fix it. All in all the phone estimate is 100 bucks for the parts. And Ford GM and Dodge wonder why more and more people are driving foreign cars... inferior american cars built by highly overpaid workers.
