Transmission slipping on highway and street at all different speeds. no warranty so I guess I'm going to have to buy a new car.

i bought 2009 ford Taurus car 7 months ago. 6 month warranty expires and transmission broke. dealer wont do anything and don't have 3300. to fix. i drove 2000 miles only; i bought a newer car so i would not have this happen. i've seen and heard about complaints about transmission and the mechanic we took it too said it before i did. its slipping into 4 and 5. never thought motor or transmission would break that soon.

Even after having the car in for repairs for 2 months and many times after, it still skipped gears at a stop. This was not only frustrating but just a plain pain. You expect a car with so few miles to run efficiently. This car was never that car. I finally traded my American made car in for a Toyota, knowing it would last a long time,
