The contact owns a 2010 Ford Taurus. While driving approximately 30 mph, the brake pedal had to be depressed to the floorboard to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and a dealer where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.
