problem #1

Aug 202014

Taurus 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,690 miles

First two dealerships said it was normal, even though they had never seen or heard of it before. A third dealership put it on the hoist and said the R & P was leaking, so they replaced it. It lasted one year, at which time the first dealer agreed it was leaking again and replaced it. So I'm on the third R & P. I thought the Taurus Limited AWD was the company's luxury flagship model. It should be on the Florida State Lemon Law list and Ford should have to buy it back. Suggest you buy a better car

Update from Sep 5, 2015: Well here we go again.Have had 3 rack and pinion installed in the last 3 years it needs doing again.Same problem same noise. What a pain.No longer on warranty. What a piece of junk.Oh by the way.Have also had 3 rear complete taillight assemblies installed due to chrome trim falling off.Again it now is doing the same thing. So much for Canadian's best Ford car.Ford should be embarrassed to sell this car.Guess they just don't car.
