While driving a 2011 Ford Taurus rental vehicle the contact stated that the sun reflected over his left shoulder and glared over the metal part of the instrument panel making it difficult to see the gauges. The manufacturer was contacted and stated they would return his phone call. They offered no additional assistance. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 8,000.
