Taurus SEL 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,995 miles

Leased a new 2014 Ford Taurus SEL in May of 2014. By may of the following year with just under 11k on the car the right side brakes were grinding on the rotors and the left side was fine. Took it to the dealer and they told me that I was 28 days over on the brake warranty. They wanted just under 1k to fix it, but I did it myself. I changed all four at the same time. Same problem at about 23k and I did the same four brakes. Now with 34k I hear a distinct grinding noise again. This makes no sense. I have a 3/4 ton truck that I tow stuff with and I replaced the first set of brakes at 52k. Guess that's the difference between a ford and a dodge. I'm not happy at all. This makes the second ford product that the brakes are junk, the first was the wife's Lincoln MKZ. Once the lease is over there will never be another ford in the driveway.
