I bought this car with 31000 miles on it, in May 2021. The first time at 34500 miles, I had a problem where the engine would not start but would turn over. After about an hour, it started and ran with no problems. I saw a youtube video that said the fuel pump module behind the rear right passenger being problematic. I wiggled the wires and it started shortly afterwards. It happened again on Aug 19, 2021 at 36200 miles after I had to take my wife to the hospital. After idling in the parking lot about 30 minutes, I shut the car off and a few minutes later I was about to leave and another crank but no start condition occurred. After about 15 minutes the car started. I went to the Ford dealership and bought a new fuel pump module and replaced it. No problem for two weeks. On Saturday August 28, I had my son attempt to move the car and there was another crank but no start condition for about 10 minutes. Now I am half scared to drive it.
Update from Sep 10, 2021: The following Monday drove to work, and then to Home Depot after work, when it stopped again, and eventually started. I got it home and it never started again. It had 36757 miles on it. I ultimately resolved the problem to be the fuel pump, and bought a delphi model from autozone and that fixed the problem. I had to cut the emission ports and use a door knob drill to cut the port out. There is a cutout under the rear seat on the passenger side to facilitate removal without dropping the tank. Dealership pump was 670.00 or autozone delphi pump 340.00.
