Thunderbird Convertible V8

This squeaking/rubbing sound in the rear interior corners on both right and left is driving me crazy. It doesn't happen with the top down, so therefore it must have something to do with the top. Took it to a convertible top mechanic and he spent a day tightening everything, padding some of the plastic in the top mechanics, etc. When I drove it out of his shop, the sound was WORSE.... I am seriously considering selling the car because being my second convertible and how expensive this car was to begin with, it shouldn't be nerve wracking to drive the car. HELP...
