I first noticed a rumbling just before the transmission shifted down for more power. Usually between 6-5 gear.

Then started noticing between other gears. Problem got progressively worse. Then occasional rough shifting. I brought it into a Ford dealer who said overhauling it would be as much as replacement. Neither of which are covered by warranty. I didn't expect to be replacing the transmission after only 70,000+miles.
