This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
Ford is having a massive throttle body failures! Its not only on the Transit, also the Explorer, and I am sure more.I have a new Transit that just over 7000 miles failed on the highway. I got it to the Ford dealer, and they are now telling me that there is a nation wide shortage of the throttle body, and will be another 3 weeks minimum to get, and that would make it 4 weeks in the shop! Ford obviously knows about this problem, the service dept. didn't even hook up my vehicle, they knew already! They will NOT give out loaner vehicles....so I have a brand new service vehicle that is at Ford repair for a minimum of 4 weeks, and I lose money every day its out! DO NOT BUY FORD until they openly address their major problem.

I love supporting anything made in America, but this is a crying shame as to why we're having so much trouble competing in the world. This can be summed up using two words "mediocre products". HEY FORD! try allocating just 20 percent of that marketing money back into the quality of your products rather than into big bonuses for greedy ass CEO'S.
You are all so blinded by greed, you fail to realize that you don't have to deceive the public into purchasing your products.
Sorry, I just caught myself. My name is Gleon & I just purchased a 2016 Ford Transit 150 & @ reaching 4162 miles, the throttle body failed. Yes! we make 2 many inferior products which is why competition is so stiff.
I will probably never purchase another Ford. I've owned 4 ford's. With my business booming & tropical storm Mathew @ my backside as I now drive off your lot in hopes of making it home, "I'm done".
I'm so disappointed "FORD"
