Transit 250 3.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission

WHAT CAN I SAY? ANOTHER PEDAL BREAKS AND I WAIT TIL THE DAY AFTER NEW YEARS GET MY VAN BACK. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD STEAL THE VAN FROM ME AT THIS POINT. HEAVY STEEL TOE 12EEE WORK BOOTS COMBINED WITH THE SMALLEST CAB OF ANY FULL SIZE VAN I HAVE EVER OWNED, AND THE SEATS BEING SET SO FAR INBOARD, MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO GET IN AND OUT OF THIS VAN 10-20 TIMES A DAY WITHOUT KICKING THAT PIECE OF SKELTONIZED TOY PLASTIC.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL SNAPPED OFF ONCE AGAIN, THIS TIME IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC TURNING LEFT AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. I ALMOST HIT 3 CARS TRYING TO GET OVER TWO LANES INTO A PARKING LOT BEFORE I ROLLED TO A STOP. ONCE AGAIN FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB RESPONDING AND TOWING MY VAN. FORD DEALERS NEED TO HIRE SOME HELP, MY VAN WAS OFF THE ROAD 21/2 WEEKS WAITING TO GET REPAIRED. AT LEAST GIVE COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS PRIORITY OVER THE ACCOUNTANTS WHO BUY F-150'S TO HAUL AIR WITH. DEALER SERVICE WAIT TIME IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. THAT CHEAP ABS PLASTIC ACCELERATOR PETAL WHICH IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO BEING KICKED LATERALLY WHEN ONE ENTERS AND EXITS THIS VAN, MORE SO.

BOUGHT USED 2015 FORD TRANSIT VAN WITH 21K MILES IN 7/2016. DROVE IT APROX 5 MONTHS. AND ONE DAY WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO TRAFFIC I STEP ON ACCELERATOR TO GO AND CHEAP PLASTIC PEDAL BREAKS OFF CAUSING ME TO COAST OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND ALMOST GETTING T-BONED. THIS IS THE FIRST OF FOUR GAS PEDALS THAT HAVE SNAPPED OFF ALMOST GETTING ME KILLED. I CALL FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY TOW MY VAN TO THE NEAREST DEALER. THEN MY VAN, WHICH I EARN A LIVING WITH SITS FOR 2 WEEKS TO GET FIXED BECAUSE THE DEALER IS SHORT ON MECHANICS. AT LEAST FORD ROADSIDE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT BECAUSE I'VE NEEDED THEM QUITE A NUMBER OF TIMES.
