Stopped at red light in rush hour traffic with dogs in car. Car started to shake, engine failure appeared on screen along with engine light. Ford towed to dealer. Replaced throttle body. Said there is a technical bulletin out on this problem but no recall at the moment. Good thing I was only a short distance from dog training site where a friend could put my dogs in her van. Don't know what I would have done if I was traveling in another city. This is why I bought a new car -- so it would be reliable. If I continue to have problems, I will invoke the lemon law. I thought I was buying an American car but it was made in Spain.

On cruise control, doing 60mph car violently died by computer shut down violently- as if car was put into reverse. Coasted to stop. Engine light on with on screen warning to have engine serviced. Engine was dead. Turned key off, waited a few seconds and attempted to re-start engine. Re-start successful and drove home- approximately ten miles. Will schedule appointment this coming week and will follow up.
Update from May 19, 2017: Had the vehicle into the dealership and they pulled a hard Diagnostic code P2111. Throttle body replaced. We will see what happens
