The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that water had leaked into the engine from the front windshield. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the window was replaced but was installed incorrectly. The weather strip was detached. The manufacturer was contacted, and informed the contact that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V192000 (Visibility) however, upon contacting the dealer four weeks later, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had been taken to a third-party technician where the windshield was cracked in the process of completing the recall repair. The dealer informed the contact that they were awaiting the part to replace the windshield. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time to complete the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that the part would be available in October 2022. The contact stated that the vehicle had been at the dealer since June 15, 2022. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 23,296. Parts distribution disconnect.

I kept hearing a banging sound which sounded like it was my ladder rack. So I took my ladder off until I could get it looked at. Which made no difference. And one day while driving I hit a bump in the road and the whole windshield lifted and slammed back down cracking all over. I didn-€™t know what to do so I was able to get some windshield adhesive and glue it back in however it-€™s still cracked in several places all over the windshield. And now I-€™m assuming it has to do with the recent recall. Are they responsible for the windshield? The contact noticed an excessive amount of condensation build-up around the area as well. The dealer was not contacted. A windshield specialist arrived and determined that the windshield needed to be replaced. The windshield was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to a repair facility. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

The windshield was leaking at the top on my van and my friends, both 2016 Ford Transit Connect's. passenger vans. It then popped out at the top when cleaning the inside of the windshield with a cloth, not pushing. Both of ours have now been replaced but think others should be checked. I was told by installer it could have come loose during an accident or even while driving at higher speeds on the highways. The seal, if any had been installed on the top edge, was not attached to the windshields glass. When I was at Kelly Ford in Melbourne Florida, for a recall repair, they are the one that pushed on the glass when cleaning it after their car wash. My friend's van was also at Kelly Ford where they were fixing the brakes that had locked up and failed right after she bought it. They replaced her windshield. They told me to get it fixed on my own which I did.
