Mounting bracket of right front strut snapped, right front of car collapsed and bent sway bar, which gouged and ruined tire. Occurred at low speed on smooth pavement. If we had been traveling at highway speed, the failure would have been catastrophic. I still have part and can E-mail picture of it.

Recall 01I007000; moisture and corrosion affecting front coil springs. Also, can affect strut bearings. Contacted dealer, and dealer stated all they have to do was to put shield around and check coil springs.
