We have had our van to several garages and still they haven't fixed it. We have spent $700.00 or more and no one has came up with a solution. When it is rainy outside and I drive it, the steering will stick and is very hard to steer. It also makes a pounding noise while we are driving under the front end. It scares us because we are afraid it will wreck us.

Nothing to say. I thought that this wasn't too bad for a Ford vehicle...until the transmission died on April 30, 2008.

The power steering noise is back again. Just got another new tranny, why not steering too.

Last year we had a slight squeal in the steering and were advised to have the power steering fluid flushed. Shortly after the fluid started leaking and we were told the hoses cracked which was normal because the gunk holding it together was flushed... long story short we had the rack and pinions replaced to the tune of $800. Less than an year later the EXACT same problem so we took it in and the parts are under warranty but we still have to pay $250 in labor!!!!

Noise made in minivan when turning right only. Tried changing fluid. Made no difference.

My power steering is starting to squeal when I make a turn. My fluid chamber is full, not overly though. Unknown what this is all about.

We have had it repaired 3 times already and I have to take it back the next day. This is my only problem, no car for 4 weeks.
