Windstar LX 3.2L V6

I went over a bump and there was a bang in the rear,and every time l went over a bump there was a bang. I took it to a non ford garage and they said they would fix it, l think they welded it and it works fine now. I don't go to the Ford dealers anymore because l found that they can not fix Fords.
