Ford did a recall for the rear axle. They got you over a barrel since they put the repair under the extended warranty program so that you had to pay a deductible. For someone who is on a fixed income, this was a lot of money. Well needless to say I didn't have it fixed and now I'm driving down the road and the rear axle breaks. Leaving me stranded on the road. I feel that Ford should fix it for free.

axle rust and fractures (recall 15s27)
Ford has had axle problems and I have taken it back several times with a recall letter. They put bolt on clamps on it once and then I tried to get it inspected and it wouldn't pass due to the fractured axle. Instead of replacing the axle Ford wanted $300.00 to replace it even after being recalled three times. Other manufactures (Toyota) have replaced complete frames due to rust and fractures at NO CHARGE. Ford could not replace an axle without charging me $300.00. This is a life threating safety issue. Why does Ford charge me their manufacturing problem? This doesn't say much for the Ford Company or give me much trust in the Ford Motor Company.

I felt like a total fool for buying a van that was so much trouble. What is going on in America? People are being taken for total fools and these mechanics get away with highway robbery. Car dealerships are even worse. It's a sad time in America.
