Luckily we were turning a corner on the way to the store only going about 20 MPH otherwise we would probably be dead. Ford doesn't care because the extended coverage only lasted until October 2016 even though there was no press release stating that these vehicles should not be on the road. This was a recall problem that had been fixed properly yet the axle still broke. The day before my family had been driving down the interstate at speeds of 70MPH +, if had snapped then, we'd probably be dead. With an issue this serious, why are they not pulling these vans off the road.

I was fortunate in that I noticed the van handling strangely, as if the rear was hopping to the side over very minor road "bumps", so I turned around & made it the very short distance safely home to find my tires "kicked out" at the bottom as if the rear axle was giving. I looked under to find that it's almost completely split through. This could have been a VERY SERIOUS incident had it broken while going 65 mph on the highway with my children.
