My husband was driving our 2007 GMC Acadia when the vehicle showed "engine power failure". This resulted in the power steering failing, as well as other implements in the vehicle, such as his driver's airbag did not deploy. The car was caught in the snow, hit a tree and rolled several times. My husband is lucky to be alive, however, suffers extensive back, and neck pain.
I want to know why GMC hasn't recalled the 2007 Acadia. According to external sources, there must be so many people complaining about this issue. My husband had the police officer verify with the mechanic this happened to our vehicle in December 2013, so why when the recall came out in March 2014, we weren't offered help? Simply because the insurance company sold the car to a wrecker who parted out the car. GM told us they were unable to retrieve the data necessary to help us.
This has been a very difficult time for my family. I want GMC to justify their actions by recalling the 2007 Acadia.

vehicle ran great....all of a sudden going down the road it lost all power. After research discovered that it was the timing chain and GMC had a recall for it. Brought to dealer for replacement and after replacing they called and told us that it is only running on 3 cylinders and we need a new motor......

I will be driving down the road and my car will start jerking and it will just die, the code is I believe P1556, but if I pull over and let it sit it will start again and I can get it home, this has happened three times now. I have am making an appointment to have it seen, don't know how much this one will cost me, but sick of putting money into this stupid car.
