Acadia

  • Manual transmission

I didn't know the Arcadia was such a pain and so expensive to be fixed, all the dealership says they can't find the problem.

Acadia SLE 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 72,000 miles

Runs fine until you release the gas cap to fill up the tank with gas. It is as if the fuel drains from the delivery system. When you try to start it, the engine just turns over and over and the check engine light is on. After depressing the gas pedal and turning the engine over for 10-15 seconds, it will finally fire up. Internet search shows common problem is a evap solenoid and valve that is the problem. Had a 1996 Suburban that had fuel pump issues all the time. You would think that GM would figure this fuel delivery problems out after 15 years.
