1-heated washer removed, catalyst converter replaced, timing chain issue, fuel pump, head lights all replace due to defect and now @ 89,500 I have a major transmission issue a PO752 code has been noted and the car is 5.5 years old and believe this is a defect GMC is aware of and failed to fix, even sugggested by amaaco the tcm may even need replacing. Feel like this car has been one defect after another which led to other defects happening and premature wear and tear on other parts.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would lock and the vehicle would make a grinding noise when making turns. She also stated that the gas gauge fluctuates and does not display the accurate amount of gas left in the vehicle. An inspection was done by the dealer and they advised her that she needed to replace the rubber on the steering column and the gas gauge. The steering repair was completed but not the gas gauge. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. After rainy weather conditions, the front driver's side of the vehicle sustained water leakage from the sunroof. The front passenger side exhibited excessive water accumulation on the floor area and a strong odor in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection. The vehicle was repaired and the floor panel was replaced. In addition, the front driver's side door failed to lock. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on seven separate occasions for identical failures, but there were no resolutions. The contact stated that if the moisture issue remained uncorrected, mold could form in the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at an authorized dealer for repair. The failure mileage was 16,000 and current mileage was 19,000. Updated 1/26/09 *cnthe gas cap was cracked, there was a vibration coming from the front of the vehicle. The dealer machined the rotors, the vehicle pulled to the left, the tire pressure monitor light illuminated, but the dealer could not duplicate the consumer's concern. Updated 01/26/09.

Several issues with this new 2007 GMC Acadia. Most prevalent is the failure of the gas gauge not reading the gas reading correctly. 1st time noticed and taken for service was 3 mo. Old. The gas gauge reads (E) when I've just filled up the tank. Dealer replaced 02 sensors. 1 mo later experience same issue. Gas gauge reads (E) even when tank is full. Taken back to dealer and this time replace (2) O2 sensors and the "sending unit". 2 days later, with the gas gauge reading at half full, the car lunges forward into another gear on freeway in traffic, and stalls. Cannot turn car on - all warning lights on. Towed to dealer. Now states that I need a whole new gas tank because the "baffle" is broken? still at the dealer and is unresolved. This car is unsafe. Previous issues: Car leaks at the sunroof. Not fixed yet lumbar support broken - somewhat fixed but still not like the new ones on the lot. Lumbar handle fell off - replaced backup sensors fell off of bumper - replaced seat tracks jerk - replaced both driver and pass. Still not smooth but dealer says that's the best they can do.
