we've had many problems with this vehicle. the most recent one dx'd as a transmission control module (needs to be replaced). It would seem from other complaints and even going back to original issues with this year model that it has been an outstanding issue for many years. We have paid out of pocket for past issues when G.M. was not listening. Current quote to fix is $1,272,85 (Cdn).

Transmission slipping, not changing gears and when letting foot off gas. Going down hill it would rev up to 4 rpms and jerk the car in reducing the speed. It was awful. I had to pay my deductible even though it was under extended warranty but this car has been in the shop more than I have had it myself. I have had so much work done on this piece of crap.

The transmission just started slipping 5 days ago. The transmission fluid was low so I added some. My wife said its still slipping. I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow. It's out of warranty by a year but only has 83000 miles on it. I will update this when I see what the diagnosis is and what it's going to cost to fix it. I'm really depressed because the car has ran fine up until now.

I was told by my transmission guy that this 2007 Acadia has problems across the board with transmission issues. He was told by GMC to keep an eye out for issues because this year make will start to trickle in with transmission issues. If GMC knew the problems with the transmission existed why not make it right and replace them. I cannot afford $3500.00.
